Who is Char Elizabeth?

Canadian born and of Jamaican parentage, Char grew up in Galveston, Texas while spending most summers traveling between Toronto & Brooklyn.

This talented award-winning songwriter, arranger, vocal producer and singer adds her sultry style and tone to melodic bass-driven beats to create the ultimate blending of genres including r&b, jazz, hip-hop soul, pop, and reggae -a direct result of the different cultures she has lived within.

She began her professional career upon moving to New York. She would be introduced to the late great Jason Mizell-aka Jam Master Jay, and signed as an artist and writer on his label, JMJ records, alongside label mates Onyx, Suga aka Sweet Tea and Curtis Jackson aka 50 cent. Jay would help her obtain an artist deal with Def Jam Records, parent company of JMJ records, distributed by Sony. She later went on to work with the legendary writers/ artists Full Force, receiving her first platinum record award as co-writer for the single "More than Friends" by 3LW.

Char consistently uses her talent to write, arrange, and vocally produce up and coming artists, while working on her own songs.
